Meet Christina Bucknell
Christina Bucknell is the owner of Elysian Homes, bringing a lifetime of construction experience deeply rooted in family tradition. Growing up surrounded by master craftsmen — her father, grandfather, and brother — Christina developed a profound understanding of quality, skill, and dedication from an early age.
She has experience in every aspect of construction projects, from estimating and planning to project management, and as a licensed contractor and owner of Elysian Homes, she leads a highly skilled and dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and personalized service.
Christina's unique strength lies in her ability to truly see through her clients' eyes, embracing their vision with clarity and passion to bring their dreams to life. She attributes the company's success to a collaborative team approach, where each member contributes expertise and dedication to ensure every project exceeds expectations.

Construction Superintendent
Fernando Delacruz
With over 11 years of experience in the construction industry, Fernando has built his career from the ground up. He started in shell construction, where he developed a strong understanding of structural work, quality standards, and the importance of building a solid foundation.
Over the past 8 years, he has served as a Construction Superintendent, managing construction projects from start to finish. He now serves as a Superintendent at Elysian. His experience includes coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, ensuring quality control, enforcing safety standards, and delivering homes that meet both client expectations and building code requirements.
He takes pride in leading projects with integrity, clear communication, and attention to detail. Whether it's site management, problem-solving, or keeping projects on schedule and within budget, he is committed to delivering quality craftsmanship and professional results every step of the way.
Building isn't just his profession — it's what he is passionate about. In his spare time, Fernando enjoys spending time with his daughter, and engaging in all of the outdoor activities that Sarasota has to offer.
Office Manager
Lori Fernandes
Lori is the Office Manager at Elysian Homes. She has over 5 years of project management experience in residential construction, and more than 10 years in business administration, with a background in interior and landscape design.
She enjoys bringing structure to the creative process — helping to coordinate projects from concept to completion, keeping documentation organized, improving workflows, and supporting the team along the way.
Outside of work, she is an introvert, perpetually curious, and appreciative of the simple things in life. She enjoys creative expression in many forms and can usually be found exploring art installations, tucked-away family-owned restaurants, or new places around town with her loyal sidekick, Chewbacca.
Estimator
Fernando Costa
Fernando serves as the Estimator for Elysian Homes. He brings over 15 years of experience in interior remodeling and kitchen construction, with a specialization in granite and quartz countertops, cabinetry, and installation management.
In addition to his remodeling background, he has two years of experience in residential new-home construction, including both custom and tract homes. He also has experience estimating large-scale renovation projects, including assessing hurricane-damaged properties, and calculating repair costs to help investors and homeowners make informed decisions.
Since joining Elysian Homes in early 2026, he has focused on providing accurate estimates, helping projects stay within budget, and guiding clients through the construction process with confidence. He takes pride in paying attention to details, keeping up with industry knowledge, and is committed to delivering exceptional service on every project.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and traveling.
Construction Assistant
Zac Byars
Zac serves as a Construction Assistant for Elysian Homes. He has over 12 years of experience performing various construction tasks, from checking in materials and inventory to painting and drywall. He can be found any given day checking in on job sites to make sure they are kept clean and safe for everyone.
Zac, a single father to a 4 year old son, spends every spare moment with his son, exploring Sarasota and Bradenton, and having fun.
